How do I stop Bluetooth from switching devices?
I have a few different Bluetooth devices around my house. My iPhone is continually picking the wrong one. How do I tell it to just stop auto-connecting to devices, and only switch when I ask it to?
For example: I'm on a conference call on my headset, and my wife starts up the car in the driveway. My headset goes dead and the conference call switches into the car. (when I'm on a business call with a client, this is catastrophic)
Or I'm talking on the handset, but there's some Bluetooth device marginally out of range. The iphone occasionally notices and switches to it. I quickly switch back, but 20 seconds later it switches away again. This craziness continues until I can find that cursed device and switch it off.
Or I'm talking on a headset, and someone else switches on the living room speaker to listen to some music. My call is immediately routed into the living room, thundering echoes through the house.
I can understand how auto-switching would work well if I only had a single pair of AirPods. But, when I have a few different devices plus a car... it's just miserable.
How do I make my iPhone do less? Thank you.
