I have an Iphone X with IOS11.4 and my new AirPods out of the box won't connect. I've tried restarting my phone and turning my Bluetooth on and off with no luck. My AirPods won't restart either. I've held the reset button on the back for awhile and the white light that appears won't flash. When trying to pair the AirPods with another Iphone X nothing happened either.

Okay so I had exactly the same problem. In the end I didn’t really need to do anything to fix it.
Other than... only charge the headphone that wasn’t working. For some reason the right headphone had completely died and not charged up. However when I had both in the light was green which was making me think it wasn’t power related. I just left the right one in and it turned Amber. After leaving it a while I pulled it out whilst my left one was already connected and the right one synced up once it recognised it was in my ear.
