Chip in Screen MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014, A1398)

Hello,


Not sure how it got there... but I found a tiny chip in my screen today! Here are the specs for the laptop I have:

Is this just a chip in some sort of outer panel that can be easily replaced, or does the whole LCD have to be replaced?


Ugh! Lol.


Any info anyone could provide would be appreciated.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

That's great news! I was worried that wasn't the case because I couldn't find the parts online for my particular model. I've replaced the glass before on iMac's (I've rebuilt and/or upgraded several iMac's over the years myself). I guess I'll have to ask a Genius Bar employee where I could find the glass to do it myself... unless anyone has any better luck at finding a link to the product online.


Thanks again for your response... this is, I'm hoping, a huge relief. I'd hate to have to replace the entire LCD.
