Creating Ringtones from iTunes on iPhone 6

I just bought an iPhone 6 brand new a few days ago and I am wanting to get a ringtone from my iTunes music. I looked online and did everything that was said, including changing the format to m4r, but absolutely nothing worked. Every time I tried to copy and paste it, it would do nothing, it wouldn’t even show up I need my music. Every time I tried to drag and drop it, it would say that “‘name of song’ was not copied to iPhone ‘name of iphone’ because it cannot be played in this iPhone.

Help please 😭
