Green screen immediately after opening my 2017 15 inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

Lately, I've noticed that any time I open my 2017 MacBook Pro after at least an hour of not being in use, there's a flash of light green that fills the screen before the log-in screen appears. It's only for about a half second, but it bothers me because I just got this computer in December, and I want to make sure nothing is wrong with it. I'm not sure what would cause this to happen, so I was just wondering if anyone else has/had this problem and knows what it is and how to fix it?

Thanks

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017), macOS High Sierra (10.13.5)

Hey mmann57,

I understand that you are experiencing a flash of green on your screen before the login screen loads on your MacBook Pro. I will be happy to help with this. What I'd first like you to do is to reset the NVRAM. The following article goes over the steps on how to do that: How to reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac . Once you have done that, please test and see if you are still having that issue. If you are, please disconnect any external devices that may be connected to the MacBook Pro and then reinstall macOS. How to reinstall macOS . It is best if you create a Time Machine backup prior to the reinstall. How to use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac .

Let me know how things go.

Cheers!
