Recently I have been unable to message my wife on our iPhones. We are able to send messages via iMessage on the iPads and MacBooks but not on our phones. We have not knowingly changed any settings and both phones have iMessage turned on.

Have you tried deleting here as a contact and then re-adding her?
Are you sharing an Apple ID? Do you have each other blocked on your Phones? Or muted?
So let me get this straight. iMessage is working fine both ways across the board with the one exception that any iMessage you send to your wife from your iPhone, although it shows up everywhere else, will not show up on her iPhone at all. Is that right? Also, what about SMS?
