Apple watch only charges for a second

Hello everyone,

I am having a problem with my apple watch not wanting to charge. I have tried changing the power brick, changing the cable, restarting the device by holding both buttons, and making sure it is not in power saver mode. The weird thing is that it will charge for about 2 seconds right after the USB cable is plugged into the power brick. After those two seconds the watch acts like it was unplugged. This only works when plugging the USB into the power brick that is already in an outlet, plugging the power brick into an outlet with the USB connected already fails to charge the device. The watch is currently on the green/red snake screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
