Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, Olivia!

I understand you've blocked someone on your iPhone, but still receive their messages on your MacBook. I'd be happy to provide you with information to help you out.

Are your iPhone and MacBook connected to the same iCloud account? If they are, any blocked numbers should sync between the two.

Use these steps: Sign in with your Apple ID

Sign in on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Before you begin, update your device to the latest iOS.

When you use iOS 10.3 or later, you sign in to iCloud, the iTunes & App Store, iMessage, FaceTime, and your other Apple services in one place.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Sign in to your [device].
  3. Enter your Apple ID and password.
  4. If you protect your account with two-factor authentication, enter the six-digit verification code and complete sign in.

Sign in on your Mac

Make sure that you update to the latest macOS. Then sign in to all of your Apple services separately with the same Apple ID.

iCloud
Go to System Preferences > iCloud. Enter your Apple ID and password. Click Sign In.

However, you can also add their number to the blocked list on your MacBook. Use these steps:

Block text messages

  1. Choose Messages > Preferences, then click Accounts.

  2. Select your iMessage account.

  3. In the Blocked pane, click the Add button User uploaded file and enter the iMessage address you want to block.

I hope this fully addresses your question.
