iMac Pro Bootcamp degrading audio in games

Pretty much the same problem this guy has : Windows 10 Performance iMac Pro

Has this ever been solved or resolved? I have the exact same problem when playing games. The audio degrades over time and gets so bad that I have to stop the game

That is promising, so it is not a thermal issue. We should check in Task Manager for any tasks which are not yielding CPU when they should.

You may need to use Powershell to get performance numbers from Windows. See Overview of Cmdlets Available in Windows PowerShell for reference. I do not use PS that much, so you may want to ask in Windows forums for what counters to look for.

Alrighty. Played for like an hour in Windows - no distortion. Just the slight delay. On a side note - I tried to record gameplay with several different apps - none of them would record sound EXCEPT the Windows "on board" game recorder. Now back on Mac OS (where I never had distortion) - everything is peachy AND I do NOT have the slight delay in games and videos

How do I check that ?

There are WMIC commands on the Windows side. See Learn about your computer in command prompt through WMIC as an example.

And also - I am only playing Hearthstone at the moment - if the iMac Pro gets hot on that game - then it's not worth it's money 😌

If Windows Gaming is the primary use for this iMac Pro, then I understand your sentiment. 😉

I mean I honestly would not care using the external speakers since the audio under Bootcamp from the internal speakers is terrible anyway. They sound fantastic under Mac OS and always kind of "muffled" under Bootcamp. Only thing that bugs me about the speakers is the little delay in games and videos.

I also cannot seem to capture Desktop Audio und Bootcamp (might have mentioned that already) - the only thing that produces game clips with Desktop Audio is the Windows 10 built in "Game DVR" - But OBS or plays.tv client produce clips with no audio.
