My MBP can't update to High Sierra

About this Mac on my MBP indicates this OS is running 10.9.5, However when attempting to update to High Sierra 10.13.5 the High Sierra page at the App store presents it as installed. My MBP is set to auto update. What can I do?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 8 GB Memory

Is it possible that you downloaded it previously but did not install? Check in your Applications folder for "Install OS High Sierra". If it is there then double-click to begin the install.
