Alternatives to Audio Hijack

Hi all, ever since I upgraded to a new MacBook Pro & OS, I've been unable to use my preferred audio software (Audio Hijack Pro 2) to capture and edit streaming audio (edit bass, reverb, pitch etc).

I'm not really that bothered about recording (unlike most, I guess), moreso I just appreciated having a tool that would allow realtime editing of the audio output which I could feed into my amplifier.

I trialled the replacement Audio Hijack ('3') but it's not only technically inferior but the sound output seems subjectively inferior as well (tinny, unpleasant reverb etc).

So... I'm keen to find out what apps others are using or would recommend to perform the audio capture/edit function on their systems?

Many thanks! 🙂

(also, apologies if this isn't the correct subforum for this question)
