LaTeX integration in Keynote

Dear Software Engineers @ Apple,

I really appreciate the New version 8.1 of Keynote that introduced LaTeX equations. It is a step towards the use of Keynote by the scientific community and not only that.

The implementation of LaTeX equation in word processors (like Pages) is fundamental to help visually impaired students to read equations from lecture notes & texts.

However, its implementation in iWork should be extensive!

For example, it should be possible to insert LaTeX equations/symbols inside the cells of a table. I'm really looking forward to see this.

Thank you very much

Keep up with the good work

This is a user-to-user support community comprised of fellow users. Apple product teams and engineers neither read, nor participate here. Your Keynote application has a Provide Keynote Feedback menu item within the application menu. Use that to directly communicate with the Keynote team. Due to the volume, do not expect any reply.

Although the ability to insert an equation into a table cell newly exists in Pages 7.1, it is currently not available in Numbers 5.1, or Keynote 8.1. If, or when table cell, equation support will be available in these other applications is an unknown.

Apple is neither implementing TeX/LaTeX, nor capitalizing on the presence of a MacTeX 2018 installation. Instead, it is using a very limited, third-party LaTeX to MathML converter. Thus, you cannot use \usepackage commands, and that of course, excludes the handy features in the amsmath, and other useful packages.

See my previous post that has links to Apple's supported features in the Equation Editor, and the PDF guide to the blahTeX converter.
