How to fix iPhone 4s Error -1 while restoring?

This is my first attempt at reaching out to the Apple community, or even reaching out to anyone Online.

I have an iPhone 4s AT&T carrier locked, I bought it off of Ebay about one year ago, and it worked very well on iOS 8.2, the version that it came with when I bought it. Last week, I decided to update to the latest supported iOS version, iOS 9.3.5. I did it overnight, and I woke up around 8 hours later to see what was going on, since I never got a notification or call overnight. The top where it normally has the carrier/network name (H2O in my case) said "searching..." I knew my Data plan was paid for, as of 2 days prior. (H2O is a prepaid Data Plan)

I go through the language selection and country (English, and United States) and I attempt to activate the phone, through the setup menu and it said "Activation Error: Activation request could not be completed. If the problem persists, please contact customer care." even though it was connected to Wi-Fi. I then try to activate it through iTunes, and it says "iTunes couldn't connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)"

I'm all "No big deal, I've backed up this iPhone using iTunes, and all my purchases are safe in iCloud, I'll just DFU-mode Restore"

I go to a known-working PC in our home with working iTunes (I knew it should have worked because I restored my brother's iPhone 6 Plus without fail,) and let iTunes work its magic. I step away for a few hours to do a few things, and come back to an error message on iTunes telling me "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-1)."

So I try again, same result, so I decide to do a bit of research, and I find it has to do with a hardware issue, specifically the Baseband. From what I understand, the Baseband is the firmware that talks to the SIM Card, Cellular Radio, Wi-Fi Radio, and the iOS system. Why would an OTA Update brick my baseband, as a result, my entire iPhone altogether? Did it reboot at the wrong time while I was sleeping? Is Apple making me upgrade to a newer iPhone? I'm only 15, and this iPhone 4s served me very well, until I decide to update the iOS version. I have NEVER Jailbroken it, I have been VERY careful while using this iPhone, came in near perfect condition, and it stayed that way.

Back to the point. Is there ANY way to fix this baseband issue? I have a backup phone, so I can use it as a Wi-Fi Only iDevice for now. I have restored twice on the PC with the connection errors, 8 times on the known-working PC, and even on a friend's MacBook, running macOS High Sierra, all restoring to iOS 9.3.5 (except once to 6.1.3, Apple apparently lets users of the iPhone 4s/iPad 2 downgrade to 6.1.3, and it worked 'till the very end of the restore process, with the same error, -1,) and I don't know what to do at this point.

To simply ask; How can I at least somewhat fix Error -1? I don't need cellular data right now, just Wi-Fi.

Thank you, and have a nice day. 🙂

Error -1 is a hardware error, and there is no way to fix that. The only option is to make a Genius Bar appointment to have it checked, but given that service for the 4 & 4s is winding down, you are probably better off just purchasing a new device rather than an out of warranty replacement on the 4s. That is a 7 year old phone, and in technology years, it is a dinosaur. No one is forcing you to purchase a new phone, however it seems yours has finally died.
