USB-C to USB Type A Adapter

Hi all

Because MacBook Pro hasn't USB type A slot is it fine to used adapter to connect external hard drive ?

The external hard drive has USB type A. Does use adapter to connect could spoil the external hard drive ?

I have used an adapter to connect an external hard drive with no problems.
