My mid 2010 MacBook Pro is running extremely slow

Recently I attempted to revive my mid 2010 MacBook Pro. I stopped using the machine three years ago after I updated to El Capitan and it started running slow and beach balling constantly. I was previously using Mavericks and it worked great. I was too busy at the time to deal with it so it just sat there. I'm now trying to figure out what is wrong with it. I just ran a etrecheck report and received some strange findings in the report. Can someone help me interpret the report. Thanks

A 2018 hardware refresh would solve most of your performance problems.

OWC.com has a sale on Mac compatible SSD from $35 right now.

Search Results for neptune ssd at MacSales.com

Also upgrading your ram to 8gb or 16gb will help.

But if you are on a budget the SSD upgrade is most important.

Until then I found that file sharing/syncing generates allot of disk utilization on boot up.

Disable file sharing and syncing in dropbox, adobe, chrome browser, iCloud, etc.

Also disable bookmark syncing within browser settings.

But the Ultimate solution is to replace your conventional hard-drive with an SSD and upgrade the ram to at least 8gb.
