Logic Pro x quit unexpectedly appears when I try to reload song I'd worked on for quite a while. It has a large number of tracks and it has 692 mg. I'm wondering if the file size is the problem. I'd hate to have this all disappear as I was close to finishing.

I'd start with quitting all the apps and rebooting the Mac. Load some other (less heavy) project after that to see if LPX can still load stuff and work properly. If it does, then the issue is not with Logic per se. Try loading the one that has caused the crash and see what happens.
Also, there's a useful setting in the Preferences -> General -> Project Handling tab:
This allows to open Logic without it loading anything.
