Touch screen hit or miss

Hi there.

I have an Iphone 6s and the past two months or so, the touch screen has been going from working to not working regularly. Initially, it would happen may once or twice a day. Now, it's almost every other time I turn on the screen. All it takes is to turn the screen off and on and most of the time it starts to work again for a bit. But, 90% of the time if I leave the screen on while watching a video or reading it'll stop working again. Anyone else dealing with this issue? Is there an update that I need to do?

No water damage or cracks to the screen.
