Bootcamp, USB drivers + wifi not working

So I decided to try to install Windows 7 Pro on my late 2013 MBP.

After having worked my way through (almost) the entire bootcamp process, I finally made Windows start up.

In order to complete the setup, after installing Windows I had to access my USB drive and use the bootcamp folder as it says in step 5 of Install Windows on your older Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support.

However, my USB drive didn't show up in Windows and I found out it was because of outdated or missing drivers. So I tried to update the USB drivers through the web, but my MBP does not have access to the internet in Windows because "Windows did not find any network hardware" (I assume this is because I havn't been able to install the Boot Camp drivers from my USB).

So I am left with a Windows version with no access to USB drives and no internet connection (also I might add that the MBP doesn't have any ethernet plugs).

How do I continue from here?

I appreciate all the help I can get.

Hi Loner T, thank you for your answer.

I am using the drivers from the link you provided. And I am almost certain that I am using a USB2, not a USB3. It's a Sandisk Cruzer Glide 32GB, and nowhere on it does it say 3.0 or the like. So neither of those seem to be the problem.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Also I might add: The USB drive works perfectly fine when plugging it into my MBP while running OS X. Works just as well on my iMac with latest OS and also works fine on a HP computer running Windows 10.

Your USB drive is a USB2 Flash drive.

If your Mac has an nVidia GPU, download the latest for your specific GPU from nVidia website and put it on the USB.

To install BC drivers, download and install Microsoft NTFS for Mac | Paragon Software on the macOS side, which will give you read/write access to the Windows partition. Copy the contents of the USB to a known location on the Windows partition, and uninstall the software, otherwise it interferes with the Apple drivers. Switch to the Windows partition, go to the known location, and first run the nVidia drivers, and then run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder.

Great. I managed to get the BC files onto the Windows drive. Booting up in Windows and using setup.exe from the BC folder gives me the installation error that says "This version of Boot Camp is not ((meant)) for this computer model."

^ My error message is in a different language, so this is just my interpretation, the wording might not be completely accurate.

I don't understand why this error shows, I mean the boot-camp assistant is what made the files, so they should be compatible.. Or what?

In the meantime I decided to start over and try again following your instructions (which I actually thought I had from the very beginning). For some weird reason it worked this time.

After installing Windows, the USB drive showed up and I was able to use setup.exe without errors. Windows is now usable on my Mac via bootcamp.

For anyone experiencing this problem in the future: Make sure to follow the exact walk-through for your model of computer and version of Windows. Even the slighest mix-up will result in many hours of irritation.

Thank you the help Loner T. I'll mark the appropriate comment as the solution.
