All of a sudden I am not getting iMessage notifications and the messages being received are marked read when they aren’t even opened. Anyone know why?

Weird. We just rebooted her phone and the problem disappeared. 😕
Was having the same problem on iphone 6s... Reboot solved the problem.
Try restarting your iPhone that always seems to work
Well, you say it isn't on Do Not Disturb. The issue I had was that there are a number of icons on the status bar, and your video is so far away they cannot be seen. Don't bother recording another video. Do you have any forwarding turned on, such as phone forwarding, or do you have text message forwarding turned on for either device? It isn't that I don't trust you, I'm trying to see everything turned on. Can you provide a screenshot of the problem phone? You can redact any personal information.
What troubleshooting have you tried? Are both of these devices iPhone 8? Were you doing anything of interest when this behavior started?
The video is very difficult to see anything of any purpose on the receiving phone. Are both of these devices logged in with the same Apple ID? Is the receiving phone on Do Not Disturb?
Not sure which screen you wanted a screenshot of but here is the iMessage settings screen. At the top you can see the icons for rotation lock, location services, alarm, and bluetooth. Pretty sure none of those are having an effect.
Troubleshooting so far:
Looked at setting for our individual iMessage conversation thread. Also looked at iMessage settings. No message forwarding is on. I've even put both of our phones side by side and looked at the settings for iMessage and they're identical. No idea why this is suddenly occurring.
