Magsafe 2 genuine or fake?

I was told by one of the ex-Apple employee that there are original MagSafe 2 chargers sold by 3rd party retailers though they will seem to be fake.

The explanation he gave me was:

Apple does not manufacture their own chargers and is brought from other manufacturers(in this case Delta Electronics).When Apple gives them an order for chargers(say 10000), the company manufactures 11000(since some items might get rejected due to quality issues).Assume after manufacturing 11000 products, 100 are rejected.Now the remaining are 10900, but Apple only ordered 10000 so 900 are in excess with them and will not be shipped to Apple, so these 900 chargers are then sold through 3rd party retailers not containing the Name of the Delta Electronics since it would violate their agreement.

Is this true , if anyone knows about it?
