Moved countries - lost access to my movies on AppleTV

Hi,

I have a substantial Movie collection in iTunes bought in the Netherlands. I have recently moved to Canada and invested in a couple of AppleTV's to be my main source of watching movies and TV series. I had to switch iTunes account as mandated by Apple which I understand. I initially had access to all my movies but recently I found that movies that I bought in Europe have disappeared. I do understand that because of regional rights you cannot sell movies from region to another but once bought there should not be a limitation to access your own content under the same AppleID as I'm the same user. If I move countries and bring my CD and DVD's is that illegal? Is there a way to get my appleTV's to see all my movies under my AppleID both bought in Europe and Canada stores? If I move back to Netherlands will I lose the movies I bought in Canada?

If you have a Mac you can download all the movies locally in your iTunes library and access them via AppleTV through Home Sharing. On AppleTV you keep the Canadian account active.

You say the collection is substantial. This could be a download/storage issue: downloading all movies will take time and you'll need storage space available.

I personally store my iTunes library on an external drive which contains mixed movies coming from two different iTunes Stores (countries).
