Third gen Apple TV with Apple Music

I still have a third gen Apple TV, and I cannot seem to find any way to get my Apple Music on it short of using AirPlay to project the music, I usually don’t have my phone with me so sometimes that isn’t an option.

Is it supported or do I have to upgrade to the new Apple TV?

Apple music subscription doesn't work on apple tv I just subscribed to the apple tv 3 month plan. It worked great! on my iphone,ipad, and mac but when i tried on my 3rd gen apple tv it doesnt work. all i can do is just to airplay from my iphone. Is it just not compatible or what?

How do I get my Apple music to play on my Apple TV? I can access my Apple Music on my iPhone and my MacBook Air but not on my Apple TV. I'm logged in on all devices.

Apple Music is not supported on the 3rd Generation Apple TV or earlier.
