CarPlay in my VW just stopped working on my iPhone X.

CarPlay in my VW just stopped working on my iPhone X. It has been working for over 9 months. It wasn't after I updated the software on either the iPhone or the VW. I have tried resetting the VW and the iPhone without success. If I plug my iPhone into my wife's VW then CarPlay works. If I plug my wife's iPhone into my VW then car play works. So it's obviously not the cable, it's a genuine almost new Apple lightning cable. The only answer I have is that my phone and my VW have "turned off" their mutual CarPlay communications. How do it overcome this issue?

Iphone X its not working also with merk GLA 250 2018. Tried everything and nothing solves the issue. Iphone 6 works, 6s works, 8 works but not X.

From forums I can gather that this is issue with X ans many other brands so please dont give us ‘ready formulas’ how to solve the issue because many people have this issue. Fix this in the software during next update
