Same issue here with iPhone 6, I have a very weak or no WiFi connection since the update to 11.4.1 funny thing my wife has the same phone and hers works fine after the update (at least the WiFi). I put them side by side in my basement and her phone finds two strong signals mine fines none.

Since that is the case, then it would be a good idea to determine if your issue is caused by corrupted data or an app or Setting, or if it is possible a hardware issue. To do this, back up your device to iTunes or iCloud, then erase it. When you see the Hello screen, set it up, but when it asks if you want to do it from a backup, choose to set it up as new.

Once it is set up, if you are not already signed in to your Apple account in Settings, do that.

Then do the basement reception check again to see how the two phones compare.

If the problem is gone, then you know it is related to your data or your apps or Settings, so you would need to manually set up the device. Signing into iCloud would have sync'd your iCloud data, and you can download your purchased media via the iTunes and the App Store.

If the problem is not gone, then you should take it into Apple (in the "clean" that you were testing under), and have them look at the device to see if they can determine the cause of the issue.

I'm facing the same problems here, as does my wife.

I am using an iPhone 6s, my wife uses an iPhone SE. We both use iOS 11.4.1.

The problem started right after we updated to this version.

I already reset my network settings, but that didn't solve the problem.

The problem appears on my home wifi using an Apple Airport Extreme and at my families wifi using a Fritzbox repeater.

Only switching wifi off/on solves this after returning from standby. It's really annoying.

They should send the Hub3 for nothing. Don’t pay.

They did not want the Superhub 2 returned, so I have kept it , just in case.......

Setting up the Hub3 was straight-forward and did require a phone call.

Their system already new that my Hub3 was waiting for some new software upgrades, from my calling number. Ain’t modern technology wonderful.

Good Luck

That’s good news.

My kit has all been running well, for over a week now, so let’s hope that this annoying period is over.

Now we are faced with a price increase. However, when I checked BT, three months ago, they were slightly more expensive, for my minimal package; and there would have been an installation fee - all for a slower bandwidth. No doubt BT will be following VM with a price increase. as usual.

I have contacted Virgin Media on 3 separate occasions now and they absolutely refuse to spend me a Super Hub 3 for free. They want me to pay £20 which I could do but don’t see why I should as I’m the customer and this isn’t an issue caused by something I’ve done. Also can’t get Apple to talk to me and they haven’t replied to an email sent 4 weeks ago. I’m very disappointed with the attitude from both of these giant companies.

I already went through the wipe clean the phone and reinstall deal did not help at all just a lot of work. I plan to get a new battery soon and to realize the savings before the end of the year. I think I will try to contact Verizon FiOS and see if I can get a new router and see if that helps but the one they offer is a duel band and does not have the range that my older single band router has, perhaps the newer ones are better I will see.

I have this too, tested it on several routers. Very annoying bug, I must constantly reset my wifi to get connection. Almost unusable ipad now. Is this they way to force customers to buy new hardware? I guess apple did not make enough profit yet. Oh wait, they bunker the money already and do not know what to do with it. A patch to remove this bug would be very nice!
