Resizing layout mac

hello 🙂

I have got a "ROG SWIFT PG348Q" monitor (21:9 3440x1440 )

in the current state i can't see almost anything (cause everything is too small) so i have been forced to scale it up, unfortunately with this method i see almost pixelated.

I tryed to connect my macbook pro with hdmi and displayport (to tunderbolt 2) but no resolution was suitable for me.

let's get to the question...

In windows beside the resolution setting there is "resize and layout " which do the trick for me, it basically scale everything up without changing the resolution. Is there something like this in osx ?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), null

Hold the Option key while you click on Resolutions. This will add resolutions called "Scaled". This should be read as:

"The screen will be set to maximum resolution, but the Text (only) will 'Look Like': the size specified."

Your Mac will put photos and backgrounds directly onto the screen. Text will be rendered, then scaled to appear as if it were the given size.

This is VERY complicated to explain, but the results, if this works properly, are just what you are looking for. Try it.

Everything under the selected button, "Scaled", applies to the selection above. The selections you have been offered in each of the examples are "Scaled".

Apple knows you paid Big Money for the high resolution you get in this display, so they run the Display at maximum. The settings under "Scaled" determine how big you want TEXT to look.

If 3440 by 1440 makes text look too small, choose something VERY different, so that you can see what will happen. Try 1720 by 720. That should make Text big, but other drawn objects stay the same. It should still fill the whole screen.
