PDF Printing in High Sierra

This seems to have been raised but not answered. I've just got round to updating to High Sierra and my Air is noticeably slower than before. I can just about live with it but printing pdfs from Preview is now like being on a Windows machine. Hitting print results in the rotating wheel for around 20 seconds. None of my other programs have the issue including MS Office which is slow to load but otherwise just about ok.

I've just printed 5 documents and I could have gone and got a cup of tea in the time I wasted.

Can someone please fix it can't be a big deal as it worked fine before.

Problem is same for my work and home printers so the issue is higher upstream.

MacBook Air, iOS 11.4.1

You could try resetting the printing system and then adding each printer again.

Open System Preferences->Printers&Scanners, control-click in an empty part of the printers list, and choose Rest printing system...
