no sound when I use maps on my iPhone in Honda CRV

When connected to the car via bluetooth, start maps and start navigating.

Pull up from the bottom of the screen and choose Audio.

You will see a toggle to "Allow HFP Prompts. Turn it on. This will allow the navigation voice to 'cut in' as a phone call when you don't have the head unit tuned to bluetooth.

It is possible that either of those to things are blocking the sound so that people do not get distracted while driving. I don’t know how to fix that other than trying to turn either one of those features off, checked out those features in settings.

Is your phone connected to your car, through Bluetooth? If so your car could be blocking the audio. It could also be the Do Not Desturb While Driving feature. Do you have either of those turned on?
