MacBook Pro stuck on lid opening with battery icon

When I open the lid of my 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and Touch ID, I often get a battery icon, semi-transparent and superimposed on the background, and I'm unable to use the device until that remains on screen. Please check the image attached.

It is sometimes only for a few seconds, but more frequently many minutes, that I can't wait to use the machine, and eventually forced to reboot by pressing the power button for a long time.

Please help, as this is frustrating me...

Try resetting the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964

1 Choose Apple menu > Shut Down.

2 After your Mac shuts down, press Shift-Control-Option on the left side of the built-in keyboard, then press the power button at the same time. Hold these keys and the power button for 10 seconds.

3 If you have a MacBook Pro with Touch ID, the Touch ID button is also the power button.

4 Release all keys.

5 Press the power button again to turn on your Mac.

Thank you! The issue is solved after SMC reset.

The MBP is ready in an instant after opening the lid. Even if the battery icon is seen, it is for less than a second 🙂

I've done the SMC reset. I'll wait for a couple of days and report regarding the resolution, as this is an intermittent issue.
