Images won’t download via iMessage from Mac to iPhone

Basically, whenever I send an image or a screenshot through iMessage on my MacBook to my iPhone, my phone says the image is “downloading” but there’s no actual progress being made. The image just stays “downloading”. I’ve tried resetting my MacBook and resetting my iPhone and resetting my iMessage and my internet and it still is not working. I’ve got the latest update on each device. Where is the disconnect here?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It's my understanding that you're unable to view images sent from your Mac with your iPhone using iMessage. I have some suggestions that may help. Are you able to view images from other contacts using iMessage? Also, have you tried either a different Wi-Fi network or switched to a cellular network? We want to try to narrow down the issue to the device. Can you try to send an image from your iPhone to your Mac?
