Hi, Eric,

If I understand you correctly, you are not getting a 1080p share option. Further, I am assuming that you are using current iMovie 10, since you didn't mention.

In order to have a 1080p share option, you must have a 1080p project. The resolution of a project is set to the resolution of the very first clip added to a new project. So, to set your project at 1080p, you can insert a known 1080p clip into the project as the very first clip placed in the project. You can later delete that clip and it won't affect the initially set 1080p resolution. Then when you go to share out the movie you should have the 1080p option not grayed out.

If the above doesn't cure the problem, try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. See if that solves it.
