Youtube freezes when scrubbing with touch bar

This happens to me too. I even waited for a long while and it still didn't start until I clicked a point on the youtube video timeline and the video started again straight away. I don't understand what's going on...

It works fine in QuickTime.

Just a quick update. I was testing it out on YouTube again, and found that it is usable in about the first 4 seconds of scrubbing, as well as about the last 4 seconds of the video, but anything in between there stops the video from playing and brings up the buffering icon animation as if it needs to load when it doesn't.

This should be a problem with the YouTube website, not the MacBook Pro. Vimeo i.e. works.

I'm having the exact same problem with the exact same MBP, this is really annoying because I decided to replace my Mac in order to solve this problem, but nothing changed, with the new one the problem is still there, and I don't understand because a friend of mine says she has no issues with it ...

I hope Google fixes this, because they destroy the YouTube experience. Sadly the Touch Bar is not useful on Google Chrome, so I switched to Safari, where everything integrates better with MacBook Pro 2018, except the scrubbing in YouTube.

I have this problem too. I talked with apple support and tried a bunch of things but we could not find a fix to the problem. I am bummed.

I have 2017 13inch MacBook Pro with TouchBar and I have the exact same problem 😩

This is strange I have just bought a MacBook Pro with touch bar and also have the same problem. im running macOS Mojave. Was this an issue in any other os version?
