Apple store says iPhone is water damaged, however LCI's are not triggered.
Hello everyone,
My iPhone's screen brighted on the left side of the screen so today I took my iPhone SE to my local Apple store to get a fix. Talked with the "genius", he said that it looks like liquid damage. I said that I never dropped my phone into any kind of liqud or accidentally spilled any kind of liquid on my phone. He wanted take a look at the insides and went to repair section. When he came back he said "Your iPhone is liquid damaged so we can't offer any fix, you have to pay to replace your phone.", I said that I don't believe you i want to see water damage that you claim. He showed me pictures of my phone. Then I noticed none of the LCI stickers are triggered so I said him that he can't claim the device is liquid damaged because LCI's are not triggered. However they still refused to fix the phone. Anyone can show me the way please? What should I do? I don't want to pay replacement phone.
iPhone SE, iOS 11.4.1
