Reset sync data on Apple Watch appears not to work

i press the ”reset sync data” button on the watch app on my phone but nothing seems to happen. It flash’s once but that it I check my watch and data never disappears to force a resting. I tried pressing the reset on the app and then doing a hard reset on the watch but still nothing. I guess it’s possible that the rest can takes less than 20 seconds (about the time between checking my watch) but data never disappears. I’m trying this to force contacts to restock since currently they are not there. Calendar and reminders synced fine.

iOS 11.4.1

This was a problem with the iOS version installed (I found posting on other sites from people that had the same problem). After an update on the iOS I did a "resync data" on the phone and the problem was fixed. It took about 20 minutes for all the data (including the contacts) to populate on the watch.
