why cant i find activity monitor on my MacBook?

I have a MacBook Air and I got a virus on it. I’m trying to manually remove by following the directions Apple gave me but I am not finding “activity monitor” under my utilities in the app section. Am I missing something?

Most likely, your Mac does not have a "virus." Instead, it may be "infected" with either malware or adware. The Activity Monitor app would be located in the \Applications\Utilities folder on your Mac with the following icon:

User uploaded file

Something else you may want to try is either or both EtreCheck and/or Malwarebytes for Mac to detect and remove the malware.
