Input monitoring on two tracks at once

This has been bugging me for a long time in Logic Pro X. I can monitor two audio tracks simultaneously with input monitoring turned on, either if the transport is paused, or if I'm recording. But if I'm playing back, input monitoring on both tracks is muted. It doesn't matter if either or both tracks are record-enabled or not.

Is there some other setting elsewhere in the interface that will enable input monitoring of more than one track during playback?
