AirPlay Audio and IPv6

My setup:

Internet —> Modem (Bridge Mode) —> Ethernet cable —> ATC (IPv4: DHC/NAT, IPv6: Auto/Native/Share/Block) —> Ethernet cable —> AEX (IPv4: Bridge Mode, IPv6: Auto/Native/Share/Block).

This is is the only way I‘ve found to get a stable AirPlay audio setup with an AEX connected to a speaker with optical cable. Unfortunately, I cannot access the AEX with Airport Utility in this configuration - acts like a “double NAT” condition. Tried setting one and both to IPv6 local-link - but audio breaks-up. No problem streaming to ATV (Ethernet from AEX) in this configuration except no optical output on ATV.

Any suggestions?

What is the source for airplay material?

If you have a computer for this.. Mac I am guessing.. does it have an IPv4 DNS and a domain setting??

Perhaps a screenshot of the actual setup on the computer network preferences would be a help.

Otherwise I think you are getting a lot of silence because this is quite hard to figure out when you are routing both IPv6 and IPv6.

Yes - streaming from an iMac connected via Ethernet to the ATC. Yes, there are both DNS servers identified (IPv4 and IPv6) and a Search Domain address.

One thing I did not try was to set the ATC, AEX, and iMac all to IPv6 "Link-local only". But, I also get interrupted music streaming from i-devices using AirPlay as well, so I didn't think it was source-related. I'll try it next.
