iPod Classic 6th Gen 80GB and iPad Mini 2013 not detected in iTunes 12.8 for Windows 10 x64 1803

Apparently, my dad accidentally installed iTunes 12.8 on his computer and when he hooks up the iPod Classic 80GB, or the iPad Mini 2013, iTunes won't detect them any longer. I see no documentation of which devices are supported or not. I helped him install iTunes in a virtual Windows 7 Pro SP1 OS in VirtualBox with the older version of iTunes (12.7) and that does work, but, it removes the stored music and videos (movies, TV shows, music videos, etc) since it's a different PC.

Can someone guide me of how to get iTunes 12.8 to forcefully recognize the iPod Classic 80GB and iPad Mini 2013?

OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64 build 1803

I have iTunes 12.7.2.58 on my main desktop running the same OS, and I don't want to hook up the iPod or iPad to the system since I don't want to erase the music off of my mom's and dad's iPod Classic 80GB, or the iPad Mini 2013.

Also, first time on here, long time looking at this site for troubleshooting some hardware.

I feel stupid now. Forgot there are two different versions for Windows: the installation file itself (drivers, program, and other services), and the app for Windows 10. The app for Windows 10 via Microsoft Store is very limited and looks like the one that's on the iPod touches, iPhones, and iPads, whereas the setup file from the site itself allows of syncing every iPod, iPad, and iPhone with new music. I plugged in a test dummy iPod Classic 80GB that has an issue (pauses every 30 seconds) into my laptop after installing the fresh version of iTunes 12.8.150 x64 and it got detected.

I then helped my dad uninstall/repair the Apple services, such as the software update, and got iTunes 12.8.150 x64 to install successfully, and now, he's happy that he can sync his iPod, my mom's iPod, and the iPad Mini 2013. Case closed. For those who are wondering, the link to download the correct version of iTunes in Windows 10, click on Windows underneath where it says Looking for other versions? Click Windows.
