Macbook Pro 2018 Sound Stuttering

I bought my brand new Macbook Pro 2.6 GHz version last week. I realized that when I am using some softwares like Unity3D, Affinity Designer etc. the audio starts stuttering like a scratched CD. It happens on videos and FaceTime also. It goes away when I quit all the apps and try again. It comes a couple of minutes after I start using my softwares again. It is really disturbing with this kind of price tag!

Have anybody had a similar problem?

After installing the latest update, the problem is gone.

Also happening to me, sound glitches and repeats. Happens when watching netflix or youtube. Have reset SMC and NVRAM as suggested here (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8486567), but issue still comes back. Have updated latest version High Sierra, still having issues. Anything else I can do?

Same issue for me. Did all the updates. Ableton Live really seems to cause the glitch, but also Spotify, youtube etc.... How can Apple not have a fix? I'm tempted to go to the Apple store but it doesn't sound like they know what's going on yet..

Hi Grant,

I have updated my mac on the same day after I bought it. But the issue is still here.
Probably it will be fixed in the next updates

Update didn't fix it. I think that was the one that helped with the throttling issue.

I found one constant behavior. For me, it starts failing after exactly 45-50 min minutes of audio usage. Not important which audio: Skype call, iTunes, Spotify.
Probably it could help somehow.

mine is still there after the update...
just to be sure, its not cracking noise that went viral right? just stuttering?

Not solved. Brand new MacBook Pro running 10.13.6 update 2. Still happens when running basic audio in multiple programs such as Logic & Ableton. Can't believe this on brand new MacBook!

Same here. It happens in my DAW (Reason) which is a huge pain! No fix yet and it's 2019!
