Audio files not found! in GarageBand Version 10.3.1

How do I get GarageBand to stop loosing my audio files?

I have tried saving it on an external hard drive and that worked for a while but then it started loosing files again. Is there anyway to retrieve the files? I am editing an audio book and usually it will loose a file that I had copied into the project but I always had the backup of the original now it is loosing files from the original project. Not all of them just some of them.....

Catalina-GarageBand problem Since upgrading to Catalina, audio files imported to Garage Band (10.1) skip while playing, no matter where they come from (iTunes/Apple Music, QuickTime, Wondershare, etc.). How do I fix this?
