Apple TV 4K Fan not running

When should the fan be running in the Apple TV 4K? I put my ear up to the bottom to listen for airflow and motor noise and I have had neither since I purchased this last night.

Can one of you who own the Apple TV 4K please check yours to see if you hear any motor noise for the fan or have any airflow coming out? I'm thinking my fan my be dead in mine, or if you all also have no fan running it may be turned on when thermal limits get to a certain point.

I want to make sure I return mine and exchange it if in fact my fan is dead.
