Phone stuck on "Enter iphone passcode" help!

I had to change my passcode as my dd had worked it out. Unfortunately I didn't realise it was linked with my icloud too. In settings it now says I have to confirm iphone passcode but after entering my new passcode it just hangs with wheel spinning on top right of screen. (Wording is The passcode you use to unlock this iPhone is used to access your Apple ID, saved passwords and other data stored in iCloud when you sign in on a new device) I know the code is right as when I tried the old one it said failed attempt! Same screen and problem happens for Update Apple ID settings (some account services will not be available until you sign in again). Just get the same stuck screen after entering passcode. Any advice?
