Uconnect won’t pair with IPhone 6 iOS 11.4.1

I just updated the software on my iPhone 6 to iOS 11.4.1, now my device won’t pair with my Jeep’s Uconnect system. It worked fine before the update, but after updating the phone would connect for a few seconds then would drop and a message would pop up on Uconnect that would say “Device no longer available”, then a few seconds later it would reconnect and so on. I forgot uconnect on the device list to try and re-pair the phone and Uconnect, but now Uconnect doesn’t show up on the device list on my iPhone at all.

I have tried restarting the iPhone, resetting the network settings, toggled Bluetooth off and on and my Uconnect software is up to date per their website.

Not sure if this is an Apple problem or Uconnect problem, maybe someone has the same issue?

Greetings, rleblanc34.

I see that, after updating your iPhone 6 to iOS 11.4.1, you're unable to connect to Jeep's Uconnect system. I'm happy to help.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod doesn't connect to or work in your car

If you connect using Bluetooth

  1. Restart your device.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, and turn off Bluetooth. Wait for 5 seconds, then turn Bluetooth back on.
  3. Check your car stereo's user manual for how to pair with a Bluetooth device. Most cars require a phone setup on the car display.
  4. If you've connected multiple phones to your car stereo, try renaming your device: Go to Settings > General > About > Name, and type a new name. Then try connecting again.
  5. Update your device.
  6. Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
  7. If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support.

Take care, and enjoy your day!
