apple mouse A1657 recognized on my macbook air 2011 but not on macbook pro 2017

Apple magic mouse model A1657 (the one with no green light) is recognized via Bluetooth on my macbook air 2011 but NOT recognized on my macbook pro 2017. Oddly, it only recently stopped working on my macbook pro. The battery is charged and I can recognize/connect the macbook pro 2017 to the mouse using via the USB-C to USB-A cord.

But why can't I see pair via Bluetooth? Thoughts?

Thank you,

Jeff

Hello jrruther,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to use your Apple Magic Mouse with your MacBook Pro but it works with your MacBook Air. To help with this issue, please unpair the mouse from your MacBook Air and then follow the steps in this Apple resource on your MacBook Pro and the Magic Mouse.

If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, or trackpad isn't working as expected

Cheers!
