Sony Vaio does not recognize one iphone 6 (charges though), but recognizes other

Hello,

My Sony Vaio somehow fails to recognize my iphone 6. I do not like to use itunes, the way i download photos is to connect iphone to my laptop using USB, and it autoplays (or I go under my computer and locate my phone and open it) and then copy paste the pictures/videos. This I have found is the least time consuming way and does not depend on fast internet connection.

However, I can't seem to get that on my sony (previously used my IBM). Interestingly, I can do that very easily with my husband's iphone 6. And then I can get my iphone 6 to work with my IBM. So there is no issue with my phone, or the USB cord, Or the port.

Any suggestions? I tried to delete/uninstall driver and re-install, but nothing works.

Of note, when I connect my phone, it charges, so it is showing connection. Also connects to my phone's hot spot.

I really need help:-(
