Bluetooth not available after update to HighSierra

Hi everyone,

After update my system to HighSierra, my bluetooth had dissapeared and I cannot turn it on.

Could you help me with this issue?

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

The SMC actually manages a lot more than what the Apple help page says.

You can try to Reset the Bluetooth Hardware Module:

From the desktop, hold down the Shift+Option keys and then click on the Bluetooth menu item to reveal the hidden Debug menu
Select “Reset the Bluetooth module” from the Debug menu list
When finished resetting, reboot the Mac.

Do you have the same issue when login in as guest?

You can also try a safe boot.

Try to reset the NVRAM & SMC:

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

If the above steps do not work, try trashing the Bluetooth preference file (com.apple.bluetooth.plist) and then restarting.

I've Reseted NVRAM and removed plist.

Unfortunately it doesn't work.

I cannot reset SMC(Keyboard issue 😟) but seems, that it make no sense, cause SMC is responsible for:

Responding to presses of the power button
Responding to the display lid opening and closing on Mac notebooks
Battery management
Thermal management
Sudden Motion Sensor (SMS)
Ambient light sensing
Keyboard backlighting
Status indicator light (SIL) management
Battery status indicator lights
Selecting an external (instead of internal) video source for some iMac displays

Is there any other possible solutions?

Thanks for answer!

Actually I have indicator, that my bluetooth is not available at all.

I've tried to log in safe mode and under guest. It doesn't help 😟

HW issue?

I've tried to reset SMC(shift+ctrl+option+power) and system reboots during starting.

It seems that it's HW issue.

Definitely looks like an HW issue unfortunately. Bring it to an Apple Store when you have the time Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple
