Keychain problems

I have an Adobe app that I had to change the user and password for, this worked ONLY while I wa s in the app. If I exit the app and re open the app does not save my log in and password information. I went to the Keychain and deleted the previous information for that app, then re did the log in and password in the app and saved.

When I closed and reopened the Keychain I DO NOT see the new keychain item, so to me this a Keychain problem

Can someone let me know how to troubleshoot this?

I'm in 10.13.6

Mac Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

Everything You Need to Know About Keychain in macOS Sierra

Repair Keychain in El Capitan or Later

Launch Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.
Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Delete Keychain '(name of keychain)'"
Check all options for deletion and press "OK"
Create a new keychain by going to the "File" menu, then "New" and selecting "New Keychain"
You can now make this keychain your default if you desire by selecting it, then going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make '(name of keychain)' Default"

Ah finally! Great to know but I have to ask this. I read the instructions about deleteing the keychain in use now and adding a new keychain., I need to make sure that this will NOT erase all my passwords from the original keychain as the problem is the LOGIN keychain, it's ONE specific item, it is for the log in and passwords for an Adobe app where I have client's websites log ins and passwords. CANT LOSE THOSE.

Says Delete references OR delete references and files. I would think to choose Delete References ONLY?

Just checking to be sure as the login Keychain has a lot of passwords in in.

If you delete the current keychain, then everything is deleted. There is no way to repair the keychain as one could pre-El Capitain that I know of but I'm not an expert on the keychain. What I posted is all that I know.
