[Complaint] The sale at the Apple Orchard Road gave me the wrong model of the Macbook Pro
Hi,
I went to Singapore on 20 July just to buy the newly released Macbook Pro 2018.
When I arrived the Apple Orchard Road, I was greeted by a friendly Indian guy. I asked him if the Macbook Pro 2018 was available, he said yes so I told him I'd like one of those.
I trusted the guy completely and when he handed me the box, I asked him if this is the 2018 model, he said YES and I didn't check it afterwards since he told me that the graphic on the box of the Macbook Pro was for the 2018 one.
Then came today, my friend who works at the authorised Apple shop in Bangkok told me that it's not the 2018 model, I was so shocked. The About This Mac section is showing that it's the Mid-2017 model. Not as what I asked.
I'm not sure if it was a mistake or I was lied to. This was not supposed to happen. I was charged at the full price of 2,900 SGD for the older model of Macbook I did not ask for. Could someone help me out? I still keep the receipt.
