I have an iMac which has on it an application called Pitch of Case which I can't recall installing Is this something of benefit and should i just delete
If you don't need it or recall installing it, first look for developers instructions to uninstall. If you can't find them then find the app in the Applications directory and drag it to the Trash and empty the Trash.

I actually resolved this myself ( I hope ) by selecting the app in the applications folder, then selecting "File " and clicking on "move to trash" and emptying the Trash.
It was trashed, and so far has not reappeared.

Afraid not. it won't allow you to drag to the Trash can
FWIW, if you do a Google search for "pitchofcase" you will find multiple links on how to remove it.
