iPhone 8 Plus screen is unresponsive to touch and has very very faint colored lines?

My iPhone 8 Plus fell off of my bed screen first and is now unresponsive to touch. It goes in and out of sleep mode just fine but the screen itself does not respond to any touch in any part of the screen. The volume, home, and side buttons, however, work fine. Furthermore, there are very very faint colored lines going through the screen horizontally, but you mostly see them in white backgrounds on the screen like message banners. We have tried soft resetting but that requires swiping on the screen, and we have also tried hard resetting but the screen is still unresponsive. Is there anything that can be done manually, or will we just have to get the phone fixed?
