Can’t create a preboot volume for APFS

Hello,

I bought new Macbook Pro and I wanted to give my old Macbook Air to my wife. I need to clear it up and reinstall OS. The problem is that when I try to reinstall Mac Os High Sierra in the end of installation I'm getting error "Can’t create a preboot volume for APFS". I thought that trying to install Mac Os Sierra from bootable usb could help but I'm also getting error in the end of installation process.

Does anyone know how to fix that? 🙂

From Recovery you can reformat the main drive, this will erase all data. Select GUID (GPT) and extended JOurnaled (HFS+)

When you run the High Sierra installer it will convert to the APFS if it is an SSD.
